Cyber ethics and law is designed to provide an introduction to the cultural ethics and legal environment related to cybersecurity practice, development, concepts, and implementations that have become prevalent or emerging in modern organizations and society. This course will also introduce current case studies along with additional resources to demonstrate diverse approaches in dealing with the large scope of ethics and law. This course also allows students to explore contemporary discussions and demonstrate how these topics are used throughout a variety of organizations.  The focus of this course is on the key components of information systems—people, software, hardware, data, and procedures, and how these components can be integrated and managed to create competitive advantage while still addressing best ethical and legal practices.
